Since its founding in 2013, Makeblock has become a leading STEAM education solution provider, releasing a series of easy-to-use programmable robot kits, an electronic building block platform, a DIY robotics platform, visual programming apps and more. Last year around this time, they were able to secure a retail partnership with Apple. But while the industry recognized their innovative products, Makeblock still did not have the widespread consumer awareness and share of voice within top tier media that drives consumer purchase of kids tech products.
Going into the 2018 holiday shopping season, Makeblock turned to Carve Communications to execute an earned media awareness campaign focused on generating reviews of their Neuron Explorer Kit and placing the kit within holiday gift guides.
Through our efforts, the Makeblock Neuron Explorer kit was featured in some of the highest profile media, including WIRED, PCMag, Business Insider, Techwalla, Techrepublic and more. Overall, the coverage Carve secured generated over 80 million impressions in just under two months.
